High Plains Comedy Festival Announces Mega-Funny Lineup
Ready to laugh, Rocky Mountain dwellers? The High Plains Comedy Festival (which I suspect has a different meaning in Colorado than originally intended) is returning to Denver this August 22 and 23. Now in its second year, Denver’s first all-stand-up festival has just revealed a pretty whopping lineup. Pete Holmes, TJ Miller, Kumail Nanjiani, Emily Gordon, Amber Tozer, Jared Logan, Jonah Ray, Cameron Esposito, and many, many more acts will grace a series of Denver stages that weekend. Also on the docket? The Walsh Brothers, Chris Thayer, Ben Roy, Andy Juett, and Kate Berlant. Tickets for the whole weekend come in at $80, but you better get them fast—they’re certainly a hot commodity for Denver comedy fans. For more information about venues, showtimes, and tickets, visit the festival’s website.
High Plains Comedy Festival debuted in 2013, taking place at rock clubs like the Hi-Dive and 3 Kings Tavern in Denver. It was curated by Adam Cayton-Holland of The Grawlix (a local comedy troupe) and producer Andy Juett and boasted local stand-up comedians alongside national headliners from talk shows and Saturday Night Live.
