As the summer calendar filled up with more and more music festival offerings, organizers were bound to start eyeing dates further away from vacation season. Still, it’s a bit shocking to see a genre-agnostic, topline-style festival make its debut in December. (Check out our favorite fall fests here!) The organizers of the newly minted Intersect Festival are banking on people still wanting to hit an outdoor gathering as Christmas approaches.

The first year of the Las Vegas-based fest will try to draw music fans to the desert in the first week of December. Helping them make the ask are a nice blend of big names in rock, country, dance music and R&B. Organizers just shared their first wave of performers ahead of initial ticket sales with the hopes that the Foo Fighters, Kacey Musgraves and Anderson .Paak can convince people to try them out.
