Lollapalooza Festival 2012 Line Up & Tickets

We’re just a few short months out from Lollapalooza 2012 and now we finally have the complete lineup. Bits and pieces have been leaked for what seems like months now, but now fans can really get a look at what they can expect this summer at Grant Park. Before the lineup had even been released, hardcores bought up the entire lot of early bird passes ($200) within minutes of them going on sale. The high demand for this year’s Lollapalooza has made ticket prices some of the most expensive of the summer. Fortunately, there are many other great festivals in Chicago this summer, such as the North Coast Music Festival and Pitchfork Music Festival (you can check out a listing of all 2012 summer music festivals here).

A look back at the Lollapalooza Festival 2011 Line Up

This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the first Lollapalooza, started by Jane’s Addiction front man Perry Farrell.  Lollapalooza 2011 will be held at Grant Park in Chicago, IL.  The festival will take place over the course of three days, Friday August 5th through Sunday August 7th.  Lollapalooza initially began as a tour, but has since morphed into a three-day music and arts experience.  The festival will be held on over 150 acres of land right next to Lake Michigan and includes a myriad of booths and exhibits to check out in between seeing your favorite artists.  Concert-goers from last year were treated to great performances from the Arcade Fire, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Soundgarden, and The Strokes.  This years lineup is quite eclectic and looks like it has potential to be one of the best festivals of the summer.  Don’t miss out, tickets are available now at SeatGeek.com.
