Atlanta’s Shaky Boots Music Festival is returning in 2020 after a 5 year hiatus from the festival circuit. The festival is making a strong comeback, recently unveiling a stacked lineup of the music industry’s most popular performers.
The festival will be held at Georgia’s very own Central Park Atlanta venue from May 8-9. The Friday show will be headlined by Brandi Carlile, along with John Prine, Alison Krause, Gary Allen, and more acts set to sub-headline. The Saturday show will be headlined by Dierks Bentley, with Deight Yoakam, Jamey Johnson, Morgan Wallen, and many others scheduled to round out the festival.
This year’s edition of Shaky Boots also has a philanthropic aspect. Georgia’s Songs For Kids will deliver a performance on both festival days. The Songs For Kids Foundation is a Georgia-based nonprofit organization that “gives kids with illnesses, injuries, and special needs opportunities to be creative and express themselves through music.”
In a press release, Shaky Boots Festival founder Tim Sweetwood announced his excitement for the festival’s big return.
“I’m thrilled to be bringing back Shaky Boots Festival in 2020. I have always felt that Georgia needed a music festival that spans across the multiple genres embedded within country music,” he shared. “Shaky Boots aims to do just that. There will definitely be something for everyone.”
