Just in time for the holidays, Christmas-time crooners Straight No Chaser have announced a handful of tour dates in February, adding to an already extensive tour of the United States. The additional dates will take place throughout the East Coast, and kicks off of on February 12, in New Brunswick, NJ, at the State Theatre. The a cappella group will also stop in Morristown, NJ, NYC, and Charlottesville, VA, before wrapping things up in Charlotte, NC, at Knight Concert Hall. Besides the new 2013 dates, the band is also scheduled to be on the road for the second half of November and almost all of December.
Straight No Chaser, or SNC, originated in 1996 at Indiana University. In 2006, the group went viral for a rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas” that they had recorded nearly 10 years prior. The sudden exposure led to a record deal with Atlantic Records, widespread popularity, and nearly 15 million YouTube video views. They’re currently recording their fourth studio album, slated for release early next year. For now, check out their most recent LP, With a Twist, which came out in 2010.
