Telluride Bluegrass Festival has announced a slew of new artists to its already stellar lineup. Tyler Childers, Dierks Bentley, and Yola are just some of the new artists that will appear at Telluride this summer. More acts are still yet to be announced.

If you ever thought you loved mountains, banjos, and bluegrass, then think no more and go buy your ticket to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Celebrating its 47th year, the 2020 fest will take place from June 18-21 at its usual Telluride Town Park venue in Colorado. Headliners include Alison Krauss, Sam Bush Band, and Greensky Bluegrass. Along with an annual performance from the star-studded Telluride House Band, other acts scheduled to perform at the festival include Billy Strings, Punch Brothers, and Del McCoury Band. Additionally, Chris Thile of Punch Brothers will be live broadcasting the festival via his radio show Live From Here, carrying the festival’s tradition of airing the ongoings on public radio for all to enjoy.

The Telluride Bluegrass Festival sets itself apart from many many other festivals in terms of age, atmosphere, and community. In addition to main-stage performances, there are workshops, song-writing contests, and late-night “Nightgrass” concerts at in-door venues throughout the town. Dedicated fans are referred to as “Festivarians,” and many make the yearly pilgrimage to the festival religiously – first going as teenagers, then as adults, then as adults who bring their children with them.

Artists also share this sentiment of community. Bass legend and band leader Bela Fleck is quoted as saying, “I feel like I grew up with the festival. It’s like a big family that welcomed me in.”
