The Knife to Headline Coachella, Add Possible Tour Dates
The Knife Tour
Swedish electronic music duo The Knife is no stranger to an elaborately planned stage show. After all, their 2013 Shaking the Habitual live tour included what they dubbed as “absurdist aerobics” and “danceoke”. In 2014, they’re taking their highly embellished show on the road again, this time stopping at the West Coast’s most famous music festival, Coachella, taking place April 11-13 and April 18-20 in Indio, CA. The show is, as the band says, a “continuation” of their last tour, with some new songs thrown in there for good measure. More tour dates are also in the works to surround their time on the festival circuit, but these have yet to be announced, so stay tuned for more information.

Formed in 1999, The Knife consists of brother-and-sister duo Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer. Their 2003 album, Deep Cuts brought them a large international following, with the Jose Gonzalez cover of their song “Heartbeats” earned them even more fans. An eccentric pair, the two refuse to attend award shows and only appear in public wearing Venetian masks. Andersson released a solo album under the name Fever Ray in 2009, and Dreijer released several EPs under the name Oni Ayhun in 2009 and 2010.
