Wireless Festival Confirms JT, Jay-Z For 2013 Bash
In a recent piece of news equal parts exciting and frustrating, Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z will headline this year’s Wireless Festival in London, England – but they will not be performing together. The two-day event has booked JT for its opening night, scheduling the singer’s set for Friday, July 12. Jay-Z won’t appear until one day later, on Saturday, July 13. It’s possible Brooklyn’s ambassador (like the rapper’s arena of choice, the festival is also sponsored by the multinational Barclays conglomerate) might cameo during Timberlake’s rendition of “Suit & Tie,” but don’t expect the duo to offer up a preview of their upcoming collaborative tour.

Luckily for fans who don’t know how to feel about this announcement (Timberlake and Jay-Z on the same stage, just not at the same time), the other names rounding out the 2013 lineup should elicit nothing but unambiguous enthusiasm. A mix of old-school titans (Snoop Dogg) and fresh-faced phenoms (Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar) this summer’s Wireless Festival is one of the hottest bashes in a season full of competitively stacked bills.
