Acid Mothers Temple to Freak Out the Masses This Spring
Acid Mothers Temple Tour
Looking to freak yourself out with some Japanese psychedelic rock? Look no further than Acid Mothers Temple, a five-piece experimental rock band sure to leave you feeling… strange… yet musically satisfied. Well, if you’re into that sort of thing. (If you’re unfamiliar with the band, check out their video for “Blue Velvet Blues” below.) Besides stops at the usual cool-people venues across the US — like the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, or the Riot Room in Kansas City — the band has also confirmed a stint at the Austin Psych Fest on April 28.
The tour begins on April 7, when Acid Mothers Temple kick off their 13-date romp at The Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles, CA, followed by a show at the Urban Lounge in Salt Lake City, UT. On April 17 & 19, New Yorkers (that’s us!) can check the band out first at the Knitting Factory, and then at the Mercury Lounge, before they make their way down south starting with a show at The Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta, GA. The tour ends back where it started, in Los Angeles, with a May 11 gig at The Satellite. No word yet on an opening act, but tickets for the shows are on sale now!
