The first leg of his tour began back in July and was originally slated to wrap up on August 15 in San Diego, CA. Fortunately for us, Aesop Rock has tacked on another slew of dates with the first show taking place on August 31 in Bakersfield, CA, and the final show happening on September 16 in San Francisco, CA. The tour extension will span the West coast, hitting up several cities in California, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon.

Aesop Rock first gained popularity in the early 2000s when alternative hip-hop began to emerge. While in college he raised the funding and self-released one album and one EP, until he was signed to his first record label in 1999. Since that time, the indie rapper has released five full-length albums and two EPs. He earned commercial success with the 2001 release of Labor Days, specifically for the tracks “Daylight” and “Labor.” “Labor” was included on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, while the album itself reached number 15 on the Billboard charts.
