Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson are joining forces (and sharing hair and make-up artists) as they embark their just announced “Masters Of Madness: Shock Therapy Tour 2013.” These two dark haired, pale faced, heavy metal men with women’s names, will be combining the hard rock of the ’70s with the hard rock of the ’90s to see which rock rocks harder. Manson has already been rocking pretty hard this year – he was nominated for a Grammy (his fourth) – for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for the single “No Reflection” off his latest album, Born Villain; headlined his own tour in January and February, and now starting in June, will be back on the road again.
Only four dates have been officially announced, and the venues are all TBA, but we know that Cooper and Manson will start the “Shock Therapy” in Salt Lake City (not the first city that comes to mind when I think of their music). From Utah, they’ll head to Pittsburgh, St. Charles, Missouri, and Rockford, Illinois. Rock on.
