Allen Stone, currently in the middle of a European tour and bringing his smooth vocals across the globe, will be headed down to Manchester, Tennessee for Bonnaroo. The band will be on the bill with acts such as Paul McCartney, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Mumford & Sons, Wu Tang Clan, R. Kelly, Wilco and many, many others.

Set to take place June 13 through June 16 in Manchester, Tennessee, the festival consistently is regarded as one of the best music festivals each year, receiving awards from publications like GQ and Rolling Stone Magazine.

Allen Stone emerged onto the music scene in 2010 with his self-released Last To Speak receiving — albeit not far reaching — some astonishing acclaim: “Allow me to be blunt: Allen Stone has the best effing voice I’ve ever heard, and there’s no two ways about it” – Jenna Hally Rubenstein (MTV)

Allen Stone has arrived. If you haven’t heard about him, you need to check this cat out. I just came across his sound and wish I would have discovered him sooner. Granted his look doesn’t match the soulful music he is bringing to the masses but he is definitely one artist to keep a watch on in 2012 and beyond.

At only 25, Stone has a bright future ahead and has already been compared to Stevie Wonder and Prince – watch the video below for what the buzz is about.

His self-titled album is dropping on July 31 and he is preparing for a fall headlining tour that will see him visit over 20 cities across North America. Before that, he will open for Dave Matthews Band during their summer tour on six dates and will perform at the Outside Lands Music Festival on August 12 in San Francisco.
