Rock legends The Allman Brothers have just announced the where and when for what will be their final live performances EVER. Besides the usual summer festival circuit–Mountain Jam on June 8; Peach Music Festival on August 14; Lockn’ Festival on September 7–they’ve also rescheduled their final week at the Beacon Theatre that was previously cancelled due to Gregg Allman falling ill. Those will happen from October 21-28.

Formed in 1969 by brothers Duane and Gregg Allman, the Allman Brothers ruled the rock world in the 1970s and is considered the progenitors of southern rock. Despite the death of band leader Duane Allman in 1971 (as well as original bassist Berry Oakley in 1972) and being broken up for most of the 1980s, the group would go on to widespread critical and commercial success – they’ve earned eleven gold and five platinum albums, been inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and were named by Rolling Stone as the one the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
