Alton Brown Goes Live for Massive U.S. Tour
TV foodie and all-around cool guy Alton Brown has just announced that his tour, Alton Brown Live! The Edible Inevitable Tour, will once again grace stages across the United States this fall and winter. His successful inaugural run sold over 100,000 tickets in 46 cities, and we imagine that this year’s iteration will do the same. The tour kicks off on October 21 in Brown’s home state of Georgia at the Classic Center Theatre in Athens before moving to Greenville, SC; Dallas, TX; Des Moines, IA; South Bend, IN; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, D.C.; Boston, MA; New York, NY (at the Allman Brother-favorite Beacon Theatre); Orlando, FL; Savannah, GA; Boise, ID; Eugene, OR; and Milwaukee, WI, among many others. Brown will finish up his lengthy jaunt on March 1 at the INB Performing Arts Center in Spokane, WA. Brown’s show will include comedy, talk-show antics, musical numbers, food experimentation (ponchos are provided for those in the front rows—not kidding), and a ton of audience participation. Ticketing information and tons of other cool stuff can be found on Brown’s website.
Alton Brown got his start as a cinematographer before turning to food. He’s the author of seven cookbooks including I’m Just Here for the Food (which won a James Beard Award) and Good Eats. He’s hosted shows on the Food Network such as Good Eats, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Iron Chef: America.
