American Opera Announces Tour Dates in Addition to SXSW Run
American Opera Tour
American Opera, the musical alias of musician John Bee, has announced tour dates for February and March. The dates will see the singer/songwriter throughout the Midwest and South, and will be followed by a seven-day stint at SXSW Festival in Austin, TX, which takes place from March 11 – March 17. His tour kicks off on February 26, with a performance at The Makespace in Harrisburg, PA. This is the first of three Pennsylvania shows, and the artist won’t touch down in the Midwest until he arrives in Mansfield, OH, for a show at Relax, It’s Just Coffee on March 1. The tour wraps up on March 10, with a gig at House Show in Tyler, TX.
American Opera’s music can be classified as indie/folk/rock. He got his start in 2011, and has since released two albums: a 5-track EP titled Demo/Listen, and Live! @ GBS Detroit, a seven-song album released nearly a year ago. Originally from Saginaw, MI, Bee now calls New York City home. Check out this innovative, and currently unsigned, artist when he tours the U.S. this March. Also, don’t forget to snag yourself a pair of SXSW tickets from SeatGeek!
