Andrew Bird Tour

An annual holiday tradition is once more: singer-songwriter Andrew Bird‘s “Gezelligheid” concert series is back (by the way, “Gezelligheid” is a Dutch term that loosely translates to “extra extra cozy)! These intimate shows focus mostly on string accompaniment and will take place from December 9 to December 20 with limited runs in Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles: what a great way to celebrate the holidays! Multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird ten studio albums, six live albums, and dozens of EPs, singles, and appearances with other artists. Bird cites his influences as classical Irish tunes, bluegrass, Johnny Hodges, Lester Young, Fats Waller, Claude Debussy, swing music, calypso, folk, and more. His latest EP, Hands of Glory, was released on October 20, 2012.
