Singer, rocker, partyman, and spokesman for Playtex (seriously), Andrew W.K., is obviously a Renaissance man (do you know how hard it is to shill wipes?), but he’s about to embark on one of his biggest ventures: a solo tour, The Human Party Machine Solo Tour, to be exact. The artist’s first ever solo tour, Andrew W.K. will make his way around the country with just a microphone, a keyboard, and throngs of screaming, head-banging fans to cheer him on. Sound intense? Well, duh – it is. But it’s Andrew W.K., so would you expect anything else? The Human Party Machine Solo Tour kicks off in Toledo, OH; stopping in Providence, RI; Syracuse, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; Joliet, IL; and finishing off in Springfield, Virginia.
Besides being a performer, Andrew W.K. is a successful motivational, self-help, new age speaker, having spoken at New York University, Yale, Carnegie Mellon, Cooper Union, and Northeastern. He also appeared at the My Little Pony fan convention, Canterlot Gardens, in a motivational seminar dubbed “How To Party Like Pinkie Pie.” To top it off, Andrew W.K. was also appointed (albeit temporarily) the United States Cultural Ambassador to Bahrain. This guy’s been busy, and now he’s coming to see you!
