Arcade Fire’s Will Butler Reveals Plans For Solo Tour
All-over musician and core Arcade Fire member Will Butler has just announced plans for a North American tour to support his upcoming solo debut album, Policy. Flying free for a change, he’ll start things off on March 6 at TT the Bears in Boston, MA. Next, Butler will visit Brooklyn, NY (at Baby’s All Right); Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC; Durham, NC; Austin, TX (at South by Southwest); Bloomington, IN; Grand Rapids, MI; Toronto, ON; and, finally, Montreal, QC, at Bar le Ritz PDB. After he’s finished with his North American jaunt, Butler is heading across the pond to dazzle European audiences with his new tunes. Arcade was formed in Montreal, QC, and is comprised of Win Butler, Regine Chassagne, Will Butler, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury, and Jeremy Gara, along with sometimes members Sarah Neufeld, Owen Pallett, Diol Edmon, Tiwill Duprate, Matt Bauder, and Stuart Bogie—talk about a group effort. Besides playing synthesizers, bass, and more for the band, Will Butler received his first Academy Award nomination in 2014 for his work on the original score on the movie Her (Pallett did, too).
