Backstreet Boys To Set Sail for 2013 Concert Cruise
Far from irrelevant amid a new generation of boy-banders, the Backstreet Boys will soon take part in two of music’s hottest trends: ’90s-group reunions, and music cruises. While we reported on the former several weeks ago when BSB first announced a new album and imminent tour plans, the original band of boys only this morning told the viewers of Good Morning America they plan on taking it to the high seas for a string of oceanliner performances in 2013.
The Backstreet Boys Cruise will set sail for the Bahamas a little over a year from now, next October 25-28. Hosted by Rose Tours, this particular seafaring concert series (which, according to the company’s website, is the group’s third) will commemorate the quintet’s 20 years in the business. The guys are in good company – Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews and Tim Mcgraw have all ditched the mainland for their own performance voyages in recent years, while both Coachella and the Austin City Limit Festival have also decided to switch things up with cruises.
Backstreet Boys Cruise 2013 Tickets
Tickets to the Backstreet Boys’ 2013 voyage aren’t yet available on either the primary ticket market (where they’re scheduled to go on sale for Rose Tours’ “Past Cruisers” and Fan Club members October 4, general sale October 5) or secondary market. We will, however, update when tickets start to sell!
In the interim, we’ve got the Backstreet Boys’ promo video for their latest project, as well as a slideshow of recent ’90s reunion announcements from The Huffington Post, should this latest news have whet your appetite for even more Gen X redux.
