The Bamboozle Festival, an annual highlight of summer rock festivals, will be returning to its roots in Asbury Park, NJ in 2012 with a powerhouse trio of headlining acts, headed by Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters.

Here is a complete look at the Bamboozle Festival, including lineup and tickets.

The festival started in 2003 in the hometown of Bruce Springsteen primarily as a show featuring jam bands but has since grown to be a multi-day event with dozens of bands. In recent years the festival has been held at the Meadowlands Sports Complex, but with the 10th annual festival taking place in 2012, the event’s promoters decided to bring it back to where it all started.

Bamboozle 2012 Headliners

  • Foo Fighters
  • Blink-182
  • Bon Jovi

The Bamboozle will take place on May 18th, 19th and 20th right on the waterfront of Asbury Park and will feature the Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi and Blink 182 as headlining acts. The rest of the rumored 100 plus bands and performers will be announced shortly but what is known to date is that the headliners will feature the Foo Fighters, who released one of the most acclaimed rock sets this year with “Wasting Light”; Bon Jovi, a band that is consistently at the top of the list when it comes to touring acts and Blink 182, who has seen recent relevance again since they reformed to tour this past year.

The lineup is sure to be rather diverse. Last year’s version featured LMFAO, Bruno Mars, Motley Crue, Lil’ Wayne, 30 Seconds to Mars and Plain White T’s.

Tickets recently went on sale for three-day packages, which start at $190 per ticket.  Be sure to check out SeatGeek for details on tickets and for news on The Bamboozle as the event lineup takes shape.   For further information, you can also check out the main site for The Bamboozle.
