Sorry, Bane fans: the nearly two-decade old hardcore band is about to say goodbye. They’ve just announced that their next album, to be called Don’t Wait Up and released on May 13, will be their last. To commemorate the occasion, Bane is setting off on a North American tour to say “ta-ta” to their fan base. The tour starts in Toronto, ON, at Hard Luck on May 23. From there, the band will move through Howell, MI; Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Chicago, IL; Iowa City, IA; Denver, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; and Anaheim, CA, with the final show of the tour at the Amnesia Rock Fest in Montreal, QC.
Bane began as a side project between Aaron Dalbec of Converge and Damon Bellardo. Their first EP was released in 1996, with their first studio album (the first of four), It All Comes Down to This, released in 1999. The band has also contributed to six compilation albums and produced four other EPs. Turnstile and Take Offense will offer support during the course of the tour. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.
