Beach House Bundles Up on ‘Northern Exposure’ Tour
Too often a North American tour means mostly dates in the United States and a few stragglers up in Canada. Well, Beach House, the Baltimore, MD-based indie band, is giving our neighbors to the north some love this fall with their “Northern Exposure” tour. Kicking off on September 18 in Anchorage, AK at Bear Tooth Theatre, Beach House will make stops in Victoria, BC; Vancouver, BC (at Venue); Nelson, BC; Edmonton, AB; Saskatoon, SK; Thunder Bay, ON; Toronto, ON; Ottawa, ON; Montreal, QC; Quebec City, QC; Fredericton, NB; and Halifax, NS, to name a few. This tour marks the first time that the band has gone that close to the Arctic Circle, so it’s sure to be a blast for them and for the fans, too. For ticketing information and on-sale dates, visit Beach House’s website.
Dubbing their music “dream pop”, Beach House was formed in Baltimore, MD in 2004 by French-born Victoria Legrand and Baltimore native Alex Scally. They released their debut album in 2006 to much acclaim. They’ve released three albums since—2008’s Devotion; 2010’s Teen Dream; and 2012’s Bloom. Beach House is also a staple on the festival circuit, playing at festivals like Coachella and Austin City Limits.
