Beck Announces U.S. Tour Dates
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Beck released a new album on February 21, called Morning Phase, and he’s keen on hitting the road to promote it with a summer-long United States tour. The trek is dotted with many a festival appearance, and it starts on April 9 at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, CA. After Santa Barbara, Beck heads to Coachella; Tucson, AZ; Dover, DE (for the Firefly Music Festival); El Paso, TX; Cleveland, OH; Montreal, QC; Toronto, ON; Chicago, IL (at the Pitchfork Music Festival); and Louisville, KY. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
Born July 8, 1970 in Los Angeles, Beck rose to fame early in the 1990s with his lo-fi style. His music dabbles in a bit of everything, with influences in a variety of musical genres from folk and funk to alternative rock and country. Beck broke through into the mainstream with his single, “Loser”, released in 1994. He’s a prolific musician, releasing ten studio albums in addition to his non-album singles and a book of sheet music. Both Odelay and Sea Change are ranked on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
