Pitchfork Headliners Belle & Sebastian Announce Short US Tour

In addition to headlining Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival, indie-pop outfit Belle & Sebastian have announced a string of North American tour dates. The Scottish band will spend time in Canada and the East Coast before heading to the Windy City, kicking off the tour with a show in Quebec City, Quebec at the Festival d’été de Québec on July 4. This is the first of many shows on the Canadian festy circuit – check them out at Montreal’s Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, Ottawa Bluesfest and the Toronto Urban Roots Festival.
The seven-piece band makes their first stop in the U.S. when they perform in Boston, MA, at the Bank of America Pavilion on July 9. You can catch them at D.C.‘s Merriweather Post Pavilion on July 12, as well as the Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati on July 14. For some of these dates, they’ll be sharing the stage with Yo La Tengo. The final stop on the tour is in Chicago, where Belle & Sebastian will rock the stage of the Pitchfork Music Festival.
