If you’ve ever seen the sunset at the Gorge while hearing Dave Matthews wail on his guitar you would probably think you are in another dimension. The twenty thousand seat concert venue is located right above Columbia River and offers terrific views of the Columbia gorge canyon). Many performers have released live renditions of their stage performances at the Gorge, including Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Brooks & Dunn and more.

Although not the largest venue, Red Rocks is settled in perhaps the most unique location. In between enormous disc shaped rocks nestles a stage and seats for over nine thousand. Red Rocks is known as being one of the favored venues for The Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix and Rush. One of the notable performances given at Red Rocks was by legendary rock group U2, where they continued to release a full concert length video.
It’s also known as the “Mothership” as referenced by Phish during their live album, Hampton Comes Alive (how cool is that). This is a multi-purpose venue used to host concerts (as well as a regular stop for the WWE tour) for over thirteen thousand fans. It is a popular destination for artists such as Bon Jovi, Metallica, and Trey Anastasio (who alluded that Hampton Coliseum was his favorite venue destination).
As one of the biggest venues in the United States, boasting a thirty-seven thousand capacity, the venue was built in 1977 and is considered the Milwaukee stop for major tours. Coldplay has melted faces in the summer of 2005 as it being their largest American show ever. Pearl Jam, Rush, and Phish have been cited as saying this is one of their favorite venues to play – a happy artist means a happy crowd.
