Summertime is synonymous with the outdoors, long walks, sunbathing, and of course, concerts. Seeing your favorite artist live can surely be a night to remember with friends and family, but going to a great venue can surely augment the experience. Being a live music enthusiast whose cross hobby is traveling, here are four top concert venues to visit this summer.

With some extremely high summer temperatures this year, let’s just hope you don’t melt on your way:

The Gorge Amphitheater – George, WA

If you’ve ever seen the sunset at the Gorge while hearing Dave Matthews wail on his guitar you would probably think you are in another dimension. The twenty thousand seat concert venue is located right above Columbia River and offers terrific views of the Columbia gorge canyon). Many performers have released live renditions of their stage performances at the Gorge, including Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Brooks & Dunn and more.

Pearl Jam, Rush, and Phish have been cited as saying this is one of their favorite venues to play – a happy artist means a happy crowd.
