It’s the most wonderful time of the year–for seeing holiday shows! Why stay indoors making gingerbread houses when you can head out to see a few merry productions or awesome concerts on tour? Read on to learn more about festive traveling holiday shows we recommend for getting into the spirit of the season.

The Nutcracker

It’s very likely that you’ve heard “Waltz of the Flowers,” “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, “March” and “Trepak,” as much of the music from this two-act play is synonymous with Christmas. But actually seeing The Nutcracker in person? Priceless. Lucky for you it will be touring all over the country this winter. Click here to browse tickets.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

One part classical, one part heavy metal, Trans-Siberian Orchestra brilliantly fuses two opposite sounds to create beautiful and breathtaking music. Their song “Carol of the Bells” has become a Christmas radio staple, and when performed live you don’t know whether to mosh or throw roses. If you’re a fan of holiday music with an edge, you should definitely head out to see TSO on tour. Click here to browse tickets.

Disney On Ice: Frozen

There’s no letting go of the much-beloved Disney movie that is Frozen. The smash hit is now a well-choreographed production as part of “Disney On Ice.” The show is perfect wintery fun for the whole family. Click here to browse tickets.

Mannheim Steamroller

Often compared to Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mannheim Steamroller is a very successful band in its own right, having sold more than 40 million albums worldwide. They’re another group whose music you’ll hear a lot of this time of year, although if you can catch them in the flesh you should! Their holiday concerts are wildly popular, and are happening right now. Click here to browse tickets.
