Christmas music has always been a surprisingly hot-button issue. Some people hate it, while others wait all year for it to become socially acceptable to play their Pandora “holiday” station at work. But with this fresh crop of Christmas songs from people like Sia, Kaskade and Kelly, even the grumpiest among us can find something to trim the tree to.

Nick Jonas & Shania Twain – “Say All You Want for Christmas”

Nick Jonas is throwing in the pop towel in exchange for cowboy boots on this new track with Shania Twain. This romantic duet emphasizes love over consumerism, with the two singing “I’m gonna love you like it’s always Christmas eve.”

Sia – “Ho Ho Ho”

Sia is trying to make Christmas music cool again with her holiday album Everyday is Christmas. And she’s succeeding. It was hard to choose a favorite track, but the video for “Ho Ho Ho” is giving us total Rudolph vibes.

Mariah Carey – “Lil Snowman”

It’s hard for Carey to top her hit “All I Want for Christmas is You,” arguably one of the best Christmas songs of all time, but this song ain’t half bad.

Kaskade & Dia Frampton – “This Christmas Night”

You know what Christmas music needs? An EDM song (said nobody ever). All kidding aside, this soothing trance track is the perfect background music for a snowy ride to the in-laws. The song is off the album Kaskade Christmas.

DJ Mustard & Ella Mai – “This Christmas”

Despite her self-proclaimed trust issues, Ella Mai claims that this Christmas will be the one in which she tells Santa she’s in love with him. Potential long-distance relationship, or just a ploy to get more toys? Listen for yourself on DJ Mustard’s sexy new single.

Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton – “You Make it Feel Like Christmas”

Gwen and Blake are just. so. cute. it makes us want to puke eggnog all over our ugly holiday sweaters. For real though, after the Blake-Miranda split (still not over it), listening to him and Stefani sing lyrics like “Can’t believe that this is happening / Like a present sent from God” does make us all warm and fuzzy inside.

Kelly Clarkson – “Christmas Eve”

With pipes like hers Kelly Clarkson can make any song seem powerful. But for her new holiday ballad, “Christmas Eve,” the vocals are just icing on this magical holiday cake.
