Who is Biffy Clyro? Get Familiar Here
Biffy Clyro Tour Dates 2013
Biffy Clyro have been around since 1995 but their success has really only come in recent years. Hailing from Kilmarnock, Scotland, the band’s sound has been classified as many different styles and genres – alternative, experimental, indie, post hardcore – to name just a few.
I have never heard of them myself but became interested when I saw their name pop up on a number of festival lineups coming this summer. I had to take note when they were announced as one of the headliners for the Reading & Leeds Festival in the United Kingdom and would be on the bill for one of the biggest festivals here in the U.S. – Coachella. So here we will check them out and see what a synopsis of their career looks like.

The band has released six studio albums, with their most recent, Opposites, reaching the top position on the UK Albums Chart. Their 2009 album, Only Revolutions, reached the third spot on the UK chart and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Some of their biggest singles to date are “Mountains”, “That Golden Rule”, “Many of Horror” and “Bubbles”.
Over the course of their career Biffy Clyro have been the headliner for the Sonisphere Festival and have opened in support of the Foo Fighters. This year they will have their own headlining tour throughout the United Kingdom in March and early April, a tour that will include a gig at London’s O2 Arena. Later this year they will tour in support of Muse on their North American tour dates, set to kick off April 9 in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre.
Tickets for both their headlining tour and the support tour with Muse are on sale now and the best deals can be found right here at SeatGeek.
