Big Boi Announces Big Tour; Big Guests
Outkast rapper and proud Georgia native Big Boi is going back on the road! The Shoes for Running tour will kick off in his home state in Athens on April 18, visiting Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Bowl on April 24, Penn State University in University Park, Pennsylvania on April 26, Denver’s Cervante’s on May 7, and the House of Blues in Los Angeles on May 18. Other stops include a Memorial Day Weekend stint in Houston, Austin, and Dallas, a set at Summer Camp Fest in Chillicothe, Illinois on May 26, and a wrap-up show on June 19 in Boston. This is Big Boi’s first U.S. tour in over two years, helping to promote his experimental new album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. But don’t worry, Outkast fans—the 90-minute set will include some of your favorite Outkast classics, as well as cuts from Big Boi’s 2010 solo record.
