Time to wet your whistles, music fans—Atlanta-based rock band Black Lips have just revealed their plans to tour for the next few months. Why? They’re supporting their latest release, Underneath the Rainbow. They’ll spend a few weeks in Europe before transitioning Stateside with a show at Exit/In in Nashville, TN on July 17. Next, Black Lips will travel through Louisville, KY; Asheville, NC; Lafayette, GA; New Orleans, LA; Houston, TX; Austin, TX; St, Louis, MO; Iowa City, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Toronto, ON; Portland, ME; New York, NY, and Washington, DC; with a final show on November 8 at Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Fest. Support for the tour comes in the form of King Khan & BBQ Show, depending on your date. Tickets for the tour are on sale now, and information is available through Black Lips’ website.

Black Lips formed in Dunwoody, GA in 1999 after guitarist Cole Alexander and Jared Swilley were regarded as a “subculture danger” following the Columbine Massacre and kicked out of school during their senior year. They’ve released seven studio albums and three live albums.
