Blink 182 Announce Plans for ‘Untitled’ Anniversary
Blink-182 “Untitled” Anniversary Concert
Are you feeling this? Well, you should be! This year is the year of pop/punk/emo reunions (Taking Back Sunday, The Postal Service, etc. etc.), and one of the pop-punk-founding megabands is also set to take the stage once again. Reuniting for just two nights, Blink-182 will play their 2003 self-titled album in its entirety at the Hollywood Palladium on November 6 and 7. Yep, that’s right: Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Tom DeLonge will rock out to “I Miss You” and “All Of This.” Doesn’t that bring back sweet memories? Tickets for these shows go on sale Friday, October 25 at 10:00am via Ticketmaster, with VIP packages and opportunities available. Blink-182 will also be playing a midday show at the Red Bull Sound Space on November 7: tickets for that show aren’t being sold, but you can win them by entering at the KROQ website. Good luck, fans!
Formed just outside of San Diego, CA, Blink-182 has sold over 35 million albums worldwide and has been praised for their far-reaching influence. The New York Times noted that “no punk band of the 1990s has been more influential,” with notes of their sound continuing in bands like Fall Out Boy, The Maine, and more. After a breakup between 2005-2008, the band came back together and released 2011’s Neighborhoods, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
