Blitzen Trapper Tour

Folk rock fans, you’re in luck! Portland natives Blitzen Trappers are returning to the music scene with a new album, VII, set to be released on October 1 by Vagrant Records. And guess what? They’ve also announced a bunch of touring dates to support the album and its first single, “Ever Loved Once.” The band will play shows at the Cultivate Festival in Denver and First City Festival in Monterey this August, and then start out on their solo tour in September, stopping in Omaha, NE; Boston, MA; Philadelphia, PA; Brooklyn, NY; and many more. Tickets for the shows are on sale now, so scoop them up while you still can.

Blitzen Trapper was formed in 2000, self-releasing their first three albums. Fun fact: though they didn’t have the support of a major label, their tune “Wild Mountain Nation” was listed at No. 98 on Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Songs of 2007. That single gave them enough momentum to sign with Sub Pop Records that summer, and Blitzen Trapper released Furr in 2008 to much critical acclaim.
