Blur’s 2013 Tour Plans Begin To Become Clear
More 2013 tour dates are in the works for popular alt-rockers Blur. The Brit ensemble will head to Mexico on March 16 for the Vive Latino Festival, after which they’ll hit up the Asia World Arena in Hong Kong on May 6, and the New Taipei County Stadium on May 9. These dates are in addition to their previously announced appearance at Coachella. Tickets for these events – and more! – are on sale now:

UPDATE: Primavera Sound Festival
It seems every week Blur announces that they will be at some festival in Europe this coming Spring and Summer. Not a bad thing for fans at all. Options are a good thing for sure. The latest news comes with the band announcing they will be a headlining act as part of the Portuguese edition of the Primavera Sound Festival, set to take place May 30 through June 1 at the Parque de Cidade in Porto.
The Spanish version of the festival takes place the weekend before in Barcelona from May 22 through May 25.

With plans to play huge music festivals across the globe in 2013 – Primavera in Barcelona, Heineken Open’er Festival in Poland, Øya Festival in Oslo and the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium – Blur have been added as headliners to one of the largest music festivals here in the United States – Coachella.
Set to take place April 12-14 and April 19-21 in Indio, California, the festival will feature the British band on April 12 and April 19, the Friday night of each weekend. The band joins the other headliners scheduled to perform throughout the festival – The Stone Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Phoenix.
Tickets for Coachella go on sale January 29.

Blur continue to add to their 2013 European tour schedule. With festival dates already planned for the Øya Festival in Oslo and the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium, the band has revealed their plans to headline the Sziget Festival in Hungary.

Blur’s 2013 tour plans continue to take shape as they have added to their European festival appearance schedule. The band confirmed today that they will headline the Øya Festival in Oslo, which is set to take place from August 6 through August 10 at Middelalderparken in the heart of the city.
The festival may not seem as obscure as it sounds. Last year, the festival featured performances by The Stone Roses, Björk, The Black Keys, Bon Iver and A$AP Rocky. Other acts also confirmed for this year include Haim, Angel Haze and Of Mice and Men.

Blur, the British rock band best known for their single “Song 2” here in the United States and who have won 5 BRIT Awards out of 17 nominations, have begun to hint at details of a world tour in 2013.
Currently slated to play the Primavera Sound festivals in Barcelona, Spain on May 24, 2013 and in Oporto, Portugal on May 31, 2013, the band also recently confirmed their plans to play the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium from July 4 through July 7, 2013.
“Blur is planning a relatively extensive world tour next year, including Europe, Japan, South America and Australia,” explained Ian Huffam of X-Ray Touring, the agency in charge of the band’s tour plans. It looks like the band’s performance at the closing ceremonies at the London Olympics was a start of exciting tour plans for the band.
