Bob Weir’s Furthur Announces Residency At Capitol Theatre
Update
Even more exciting news on the Bob Weir/Grateful Dead front: The latest GD incarnation, Furthur, have just announced an eight-night stint at The Capitol Theatre in Portchester, NY. The residency will take place from April 16 – 25, stopping only for breaks on the 18th and 22nd. It’s a rather fitting venue for the band, who played 18 shows at the theatre in the span of 11 months back in the 70s when touring as the Grateful Dead. Tickets for the event are on sale now.

At age 65, Bob Weir is still an unstoppable musician. He first achieved rock n’ roll icon status for his work with the Grateful Dead, who disbanded in 1995. Weir still tours regularly with the latest “Dead” inception, Furthur, and is joined by former Grateful Dead member Phil Lesh. Weir also records and tours with his solo band, Ratdog.
