BoomBox, the brainchild of friends Russ Randolph and Zion Rock, are hitting the festival circuit this summer and have just announced nine additional headlining tour dates this October. This duo of songwriting producers dropped Filling in the Color back in January after funding its release with a Kickstarter campaign, and they’re currently featuring songs from that release during funky electronic sets on stages at Oyster Fest, High Sierra, and the upcoming fourth annual installment of Boomtown at Colorado’s Rancho Del Rio.
The latest BoomBox fall tour dates are heavily concentrated on the East Coast, opening at Higher Ground in Burlington before hitting up The Paradise in Boston. They’ll stay north for stops in Portland, Northampton and Ithaca, before a two-night stay at The Bowery Ballroom in New York. They’ll fill in the final bits of color with stops in Charlottesville and Philadelphia, with Union Transfer hosting the last scheduled concert for this tour. This is only their third album together since 2005, but these guys love to hang out and tour together so check back to TBA when more dates will likely be announced.
