Boris have officially expanded their successful 2012 tour into the new year – and added a slew of US concert dates. The metal outfit will set out on their residency tour – in which they’ll spend two nights in each city – beginning this April at the Austin Psych Fest. Boris Tour
The experimental Japanese noise-trio Boris have announced a tour of the UK and other areas of Europe, slated for this December. The tour is in support of the group’s new 7-inch record, a split they share with Asobi Seksu, due out on Sargent House November 23. The shows will take place over the majority of December, and kick off on December 4 in Brighton, UK, at Coalition. This is the first of seven UK dates, with the last one taking place in Birmingham at The Rainbow Warehouse. After that, they’ll head to spots in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland. The final show of the tour will be on December 19 in Dresden, GE, at Beatpol.

Boris hails from Tokyo, Japan, and blends elements of metal, rock, psychedelic, and ambient, to create a unique and experimental sound. Since their formation in 1992, they have released 17 studio albums. Their latest, 2011’s Attention Please, garnered favorable reviews, earning 7 out of 10 from Pitchfork Media.
