Brand New Tour

Christmas and Hanukkah are coming early (well, Hanukkah is already early), Brand New fans! The Long Island-based emo/alternative rock outfit has had their troubles this year with a cancelled European tour, but a few one-off dates in the States (at Riot Fest, for one) seemed to bode well. Today, the announcement came from the band: four dates to be played this December, two on the West Coast (at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA.) and two on the East Coast (in Huntington, NY, at The Paramount and Sayreville, NY, at Starland Ballroom). Brand New has confirmed that they will play two complete albums per night, as well as any B-sides surrounding those tracks. The announcement was posted sometime around noon, and the presale for the shows was Ducat King’s fastest selling presale ever. Missed out and still want tickets? (I know I do.) The general on-sale will be ready Thursday, November 14 at 12:00 noon.

Fans have been waiting for a new album (Brand New has four studio albums: 2001’s Your Favorite Weapon, 2003’s Deja Entendu, 2006’s The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me, and 2009’s Daisy) for over four years, and the band’s divulgence that they were working on new material sure has us excited. Hopefully, the rabid ticket sales will inspire Brand New to launch a full-length tour as similar bands like Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory and Alkaline Trio have done.
