Brian Wilson Tour 2013

Almost all the boys are back in town. Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys recently announced a spate of upcoming tour dates, featuring fellow BB alums Al Jardine and David Marks. The trio, backed by Wilson’s personal touring band, have scheduled US stops throughout late July – in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Minnesota, from the 20th to the 27th. They’ve also booked one lone fall show in California, at LA’s famed Greek Theatre, set for October 20.

This latest incarnation of the classic Beach Boys ensemble is noticeably missing bandmates Mike Love and Bruce Johnston. The group was embroiled in a public feud last year, after Love and Johnston decided to extend the Beach Boys’ wildly successful 2012 reunion tour – without Wilson, Jardine and Marks. Wilson famously said he felt as if he were being “fired,” to which Love responded: “”I did not fire Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys. I cannot fire Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys. I am not his employer. I do not have such authority.”

Can’t we all just get along? Well, at least 3/5 of the group can. Be sure to catch most of the Beach Boys while they’re still speaking to one another, and grab a pair of tickets to their upcoming tour below!
