Britney Spears Works Vegas for the Next Two Years

Good news, Britney Spears fans! (Do we have a cutesy nickname for those people?) Following in the footsteps of Celine and Skrillex, Ms. Spears has just announced plans for a Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Kicking off on December 27, the run will take place over the next two years, with 50 shows scheduled for each year. So far, only 12 dates have been announced officially (you can see those below) with more to come soon. The show – titled “Britney: Piece of Me” – will encompass classic hits from the 31-year-old pop star’s catalog, as well as new material.

Speaking of new material, last weekend Spears’ new single, “Work Bitch,” leaked a day early, much to the joy of fans and the chagrin of her record label. The accompanying full-length album will be released on December 3, 2013, and is being produced by will.i.am of Black Eyed Pees fame. “You want a hot body, you want a Bugatti, you want a Maserati? You better work, bitch.” You want a successful Vegas residency? A hot new album? You better work, Brit.
