Sometimes the best bands are formed when parts of other bands come together. Danger Mouse (who also got together with Cee-Lo Green for Gnarls Barkley in the early aughts) and James Mercer hit the scene with their self-titled debut album in 2010, followed by an EP, Meyrin Fields in 2011. This year’s After the Disco hit No. 1 on the United States Rock and Alternative Rock charts.
