Did you somehow manage to nab a ticket to one of BTS’s upcoming tour stops? If so, congratulations! Tickets to see BTS (or Bangtan Sonyeondan as they’re known in their native Korea) are among the hottest sellers this year. And if you were so lucky to snatch a seat to their concert, there’s quite a lot you should know to better prepare yourself for a fun and memorable experience.

Who Is BTS?

For those who are new to the group, BTS is a Korean boy band formed in Seoul, South Korea under the management company Big Hit Entertainment. Its members include Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Kim Namjoon, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook. Formed in 2013, BTS started as more of an obscure boy band, but as time passed they began to amass eager fans–known as their “ARMY”–throughout the world.

Their LOVE YOURSELF series marked their record-breaking announcement to the world that they were global superstars, with the three-part music series thus far generating three gold-selling singles in the form of “DNA,” “Mic Drop” and “FAKE LOVE.” This led to a #1 album in LOVE YOURSELF: Tear.

It’s believed that LOVE YOURSELF: Answer, the concluding album in the series, will likely also have a #1 debut on Billboard, marking yet another historical achievement for the septet.

What to Expect at a LOVE YOURSELF Tour Concert

BTS kicked off their tour barely a day after the release of LOVE YOURSELF: Answer, the last album in the LOVE YOURSELF trilogy. The conclusion to the music series brings with it unique and unforgettable solo performances from all seven members of the group.

The Korean group’s concerts are best known for heart-stopping choreography, inclusive “fan chants” (where members of the audience interact with every single song), and unique messages created through Bluetooth-controlled light sticks–aka “ARMY Bombs”–that change into a wide variety of colors throughout the concert.

What time does BTS come on stage?

The time that BTS concerts start may vary by location. For instance, the second day of their Seoul Stadium concert started at around 6 PM local time, while in the U.S. headlining shows typically begin no earlier than 8 PM. There are no opening acts on this tour, so when the show starts it will be a BTS-only event from beginning to end. If you want to know what time they’ll take the stage in your city, call the venue box office for more information.
