Last week we scooped you on the announcement of Carrie Underwood’s ‘Blown Away Tour’ and the extensive list of U.S. dates. The tour continues to evolve and is hitting a global scale now as Underwood just announced a series of dates in Australia, marking the first time she will headline shows in the land down under in her career.

The new album from Carrie Underwood was just released here in the U.S. on May 1 and was also released in Australia on May 4. The album is currently the #1 album on iTunes, surpassing new albums from B.o.B. and Norah Jones.

Kicking off her fall ‘Blown Away’ tour with a performance on Good Morning America, American Idol alum Carrie Underwood has released dates for 60 upcoming concerts across the U.S. and Canada. The tour begins May 1 in New York before wrapping up Dec. 22 in Florida. Tickets aren’t yet available for each show, but they will be by the end of May. 5/9/2012 – It was announced this week that Carrie Underwood’s fourth studio album Blown Away has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after selling 267,000 records. The album had the single best sales week of any country record since Lady Antebellum’s Own the Night sold 347,000 in 2011. This is Underwood’s third record to reach these heights following the success of 2007’s Carnival Ride and 2009’s Play On.
