Alt rock band from Long Island, NY, Brand New have announced a super short tour for this upcoming fall. It’s been four years since the artists who made a name for themselves on channels like MTV2 and Fuse dropped an album, 2009’s Daisy, which must mean this latest round of shows is less about promoting any particular release, and more about performing for its own sake. Which is all right with us – and the group’s many fans.
Most likely Brand New decided to tack on a few extra concerts surrounding their upcoming appearance at Chicago’sRiot Fest. The rockers will perform two shows before the music festival, in Cincinnati and Michigan on September 13 and 14, respectively, and two shows after the event, in Buffalo and Clinton Park, NY, on September 17 and 18 (Riot Fest itself is slated for September 15). Although the artists haven’t announced any opening acts – or West Coast concerts! – they will be joined by the likes of Blink 182,Sublime,Taking Back Sunday,All Time Low, and others of their sing-along-rock ilk, when they make their appearance at Riot Fest. Tickets to a few of their fall shows, and summer international dates, are on sale now, but don’t forget to keep checking back with us as more deals become available!
