They Might Be Giants Tour

Brooklyn’s own They Might Be Giants are back on US soil and ready to head out on tour to play some old favorites for fans while also playing more material off of their latest release and 16th studio album, Nanobots. The alternative rockers just celebrated their 30th year together, and long time fans have seen their musical style & success morph from experimental classics like “Instanbul (Not Constantinople)” and “Birdhouse in Your Soul” to children’s music and television theme songs. In fact, “Birdhouse…” is both their highest-ranking song on a US chart, which occurred back in 1990, and more recently garnered mainstream attention in a shoe commercial.

Many fans were introduced to TMBG songs in their youth on cartoons like Tiny Toon Adventures & Animaniacs, which took their offbeat songs and transformed them into entertaining animated music videos. More recently, they have won awards for composing theme songs for shows such as The Daily Show & Malcolm in the Middle. “The Johns,” as they’re affectionately known by their fans, have performed many times on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and They Might Be Giants live performances are often part of fundraising concerts and larger compilations.
