Cheap Girls is Back with a Juicy Giant Orange
Cheap Girls Tour
Hailing from Lansing, MI, Cheap Girls formed in 2007 and decided to develop a back to basics approach to rock to fans looking for the same. With an aggressive tour schedule and two albums which gained them some lo-fi cred, members of Cheap Girls invested some time in a few side projects before coming back together to release Giant Orange in 2012. With some noticeable refinement in songwriting and production, the Giant Orange tour is set to roll into a town near you during a breakneck month of tour dates that takes the band cross country and into a new venue on a nightly basis.
Previously seen opening for the likes of The Gaslight Anthem and The Bouncing Souls in support of albums Find Me a Drink Home and My Roaring 20’s, brothers Ian & Ben Graham team with Adam Aymor to produce Cheap Girls’ sound, invoking comparisons to The Replacements and Sugar. Just as Cheap Girls gained fans opening for more prominent bands, they will be welcoming some newcomers on this tour, giving fans the chance to see Make Do and Mend, Diamond Youth, Fake Problems, and Sainthood Reps at various locations. The band has also released an acoustic version of My Roaring 20’s this year, so look forward to a new take on some of this band’s relative classics.
