Childish Gambino Tour

Though his stint on NBC’s Community has just ended, Donald Glover (musically known as Childish Gambino) isn’t missing a beat. He’s just announced plans for a North American tour in support of his latest release, Because the Internet. The tour, dubbed “The Deep Web Tour,” will stretch from February to late April, spanning countries and counties in the process. It kicks off in Santa Barbara, CA, at UC Santa Barbara on February 28, and moves through Tempe, AZ; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Toronto, ON; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Atlanta, GA; Montreal, QC; Denver, CO, and more. Ever the comedian, Gambino released news of the tour via a spoof sex cam website. Tickets for some dates are on sale now.

Donald Glover was born in Stone Mountain, GA, (home of Kenneth the Page). He first rose to prominence as a writer on the sitcom 30 Rock, and he’s best known for playing the now-gone Troy Barnes on Community. He signed with Glassnote Records in 2011 under the stage name Childish Gambino, and his first album, Camp, was released in November of the same year. His second album, Because the Internet, hit the shelves (and Internet) on December 10, 2013.
