Consol Energy Center Concerts

Consol Energy Center, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, opened in 2010. According to Wikipedia, as soon as the venue opened it was lauded as one of the best arenas in the world, winning both “Best New Major Concert Venue” in the Pollstar Concert Industry Awards and “Best NHL Arena” in the Sports Business Journal reader poll.

Since 2010, the venue has hosted concerts from Paul McCartney (2010) as the opening event on August 18 and a later second show on August 19; Lady Gaga; Rush; Roger Waters and George Strait.

This coming spring and summer, Consol Energy Center will have the following top flight concerts coming through its doors: Green Day on March 31; Eric Clapton on April 6; Barry Manilow on April 19; Fleetwood Mac on April 26; The Black Keys and The Flaming Lips on April 30; New Kids On the Block on June 11; Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers on June 20; Bruno Mars on July 2; One Direction on July 8 and the Eagles on July 23.
