Crosses Announce May Tour Dates
Fresh off an appearance at both weekends of the Coachella Music Festival, Crosses—made up of former Deftones singer Chino Moreno, Shaun Lopez, and Chuck Doom—have just announced plans for a May tour. Kicking off on May 10 in St. Louis, MO, at Pointfest (with Queens of the Stone Age, The Offspring, and AFI), the band will continue through Cleveland, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Boston, MA; Philadelphia, PA; and Charlotte, NC; with a final date at Ziggy’s in Wilmington, NC, on May 17. This tour is an extension of a tour that Crosses did in March following an appearance at South by Southwest in Austin, TX. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
Childhood friends Moreno, Lopez, and Doom had previously recorded together before they created Crosses, but when the band started, they went into overdrive, recording for over four hours a day until they had 16 songs for a series of EPs. The debut EP was released on August 2, 2011, for free on their website. After recording two more EPs, they were finally signed to Sumerian Records in 2013. Crosses has played festivals such as Coachella, Quilmes Rock Festival, and Lollapalooza.
