Austrian indie electro-pop band Cut Copy has just announced the dates for the summer leg of their current tour promoting their most recent album, Free Your Mind. The band will spend April and early May touring Europe, Asia, and their home content of the land down under, before hitting North America. Stateside, the group will start off at the Sasquatch Music Festival in George, WA, on May 24, eventually making their way to playing Bonnaroo on June 14 and 15. After some shows throughout the South and Midwest, the band will be at Lollapalooza in Chicago on August 2 and then finish up at the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco on August 9 and 10.

The brainchild of DJ/graphic designer and  band frontman Dan Whitford, Cut Copy supposedly gets its name from the ubiquitous computer commands and is known for mixing snyth sounds with upbeat hooks and preferring to create an overall album experience instead of radio-friendly singles. Originally a quartet, then a trio, and now quartet again, they released Free Your Mind in November of 2013 and have described it as an album inspired by the summers of 1967 and 1989.
