Cut Copy Tour

Australian electronic band Cut Copy are set to travel far from their native lands this coming year. The quartet has announced the first batch of tour dates in support of their latest album, Free Your Mind. Kicking off in March at Brisbane’s Future Music Festival, Cut Copy will visit Sydney, Melbourne, and a few other cities down under before making their way through Nashville, TN; Washington, DC; New York, NY; and Columbus, OH, among others. After their American leg is up, the band journeys to Europe, playing gigs in Dublin, Manchester, London, Prague, and Warsaw, just in time for spring. Tickets are on sale now (and a few dates have sold out already), so catch them while you can.

Cut Copy was originally formed as a one-man home-recording project by DJ Dan Whitford (he now sings lead vocals). Though the band’s debut, Bright Like Neon Love, was released in 2003, they didn’t break through in the music scene until their second album, 2008’s In Ghost Colors. Their newest release, Free Your Mind, was released in November of 2013. They’re festival favorites, playing shows at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Indie Fest in Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Mobile FreeFest in Columbia, MD.
